The Global Commission on the Economics of Water
Video
The world faces a growing tragedy of water, but a sustainable and just water future is still within reach. The Global Commission on the Economics of Water (GCEW) is redefining the way we value and govern water for the common good.
We created this emotive anthem video to introduce the critical work of the Commission. It is designed to be used throughout the Commission’s two-year mandate period, including on the website homepage and social media.
The video features GCEW co-chairs Mariana Mazzucato, Professor at University College London & Founding Director of the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose; Ngozi Okonjo-iweala, Director-General, World Trade Organization; Johan Rockström, Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research; and Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Senior Minister, Singapore.
The video has achieved over 200,000 combined views online.
🌍 Humanity is in the midst of a global #watercrisis. The cost of inaction is unbearable. We can only fix this collectively and if we move with urgency.
