The CGIAR Initiative on Climate Resilience (ClimBeR) is focused on transforming the climate adaptation capacity of food, land, and water systems in low- and middle-income countries. One of ClimBeR’s key research areas is Governance 4 Resilience (G4R), which aims to build governance systems that foster resilience to climate change across society.

ClimBeR tasked us with creating an animation to provide an accessible overview of the G4R research. The challenge was to convey this complex subject in a way that would be easy to understand, engaging, and accessible to a global audience.

Our creative team wrote the script, conceptualised the narrative, designed and illustrated original characters and scenes, and animated the video. Sound design played an important role in the production with the voiceover talent selected to appeal to ClimBeR’s key audiences.

The resulting animation clearly communicates the goals of the G4R research while keeping the messaging concise and approachable. Through carefully crafted visuals and a well-paced script, we delivered a final product that engages viewers and demystifies an important but complex topic.
