We were tasked with transforming a low-resolution screen recording of a panel session at COP26 into a short highlights video to increase the reach beyond the session audience alone. We selected quotes from key speakers and wove these together into a narrative, complementing their messages with a music track that helped to tell a story and convey emotion.

We created custom animated frames, allowing us to cut out the desired speaker from the Zoom grid and position them in a way to disguise the low resolution of the source footage. Speakers were coupled with b-roll video and photographs that visualise their statements.

The resulting two-minute video transformed a typical Zoom panel session into an evergreen communication product that can be used to both highlight IWMI’s participation at COP26 and moving forward to talk about water security more generally or in connection to future events.

We coupled the video with a social media toolkit and custom-designed speaker quote cards to allow IWMI to jointly promote the video with their partner organisations featured in the clip. This approach and the package of products is a great way to extend the value of your Zoom calls or virtual event sessions.
